Course details
This course introduces and teaches how to use Minitab to draw graphs and charts, run descriptive statistics, and conduct inferential statistical tests for data-driven decision making. Data sets are provided for you to follow along step by step with instructor Dr. Richard Chua. This course introduces new users to the latest version of Minitab on the web and its useful and popular features, and also serves as a useful resource for existing users.
Learning objectives
Import and organize data; open, save, and share Minitab outputs, worksheets and projects.
Create graphs and charts such as bar graphs, heatmaps, pie charts, Pareto charts, time-series plots, stacked area graphs, scatter plots and bubble plots.
Calculate descriptive statistics and generate graphs displaying probability distributions, interval plots, individual value plots, dotplots, histograms and boxplots.
Make inferences on continuous data using statistical hypothesis tests—normality tests, comparing variances, comparing means with t-tests and ANOVA, nonparametric tests comparing medians, correlation, regression and multiple regression.
Make inferences on categorical data using statistical hypothesis tests—proportions tests and chi-square tests for independence.
Share findings with others using Minitab-generated reports and simple copy-and-paste techniques.
